PROPEL Performance has several programs to introduce how Positive Psychology is helping to create healthy work environments essential to improving performance and transforming the culture of hospitals.
PROPEL© Seminar
Using Positive Psychology to Create an Optimally Functioning Health Care Environment This one day seminar presents an innovative, evidence-based approach proven to enhance performance of leaders and staff. Participants will discover how to use the latest research in Positive Psychology to create improvements across top and bottom line measures. Specific steps will be offered for creating a culture that spawns positive energy, collaborative relationships, solution-oriented thinking, strengths-based action plans, and sustained well-being. An accompanying workbook and online assessments will assist in the continuity of learning and practicing each principle from an individual and organizational perspective. This highly participative seminar offers the opportunity to engage in exercises and discussions regarding how to deal with the challenges your hospital is currently facing and leave the seminar with actionable strategies and techniques.
“This seminar gave us a new evidence-based approach to become more effective leaders and help achieve our hospital performance goals. Seminar tools and techniques provided us with immediate action steps to make an impact on our primary areas of focus – patient satisfaction, quality and RN engagement” CNO, VP of Patient Care Services, member hospital of one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health systems in the United States.
An Evidence-based Approach to Improve Engagement and Satisfactions Scores
Using Positive Psychology Coaching in a Targeted Approach to Improve Engagement and Satisfactions Scores
Today, more than ever, results are what really matter and traditional approaches to improve engagement and satisfaction scores may only provide temporary improvement. The new science of positive psychology and the PROPEL coaching model are proving to have a positive and sustainable impact on hospital performance. Consider a targeted approach for improving nursing engagement and patient satisfaction to begin to create a turnaround in poorly performing areas in your hospital.
In a 2009 AONE research grant on the relationship between nurse engagement and patient satisfaction scores (HCAHPS), the findings suggest “a positive correlation between nurse engagement and the hospital’s overall patient satisfaction results.”
An Introductory Session on PROPEL© and the Principles of Positive Psychology
PROPEL© offers an innovative and evidence-based approach to improving hospital performance indicators at a time when rapid reform measures and institutional financial pressures are creating significant stressors on leadership and staff. Introduce your leadership team or board of directors to the business case, the research in positive psychology, and the PROPEL principles to understand how this new science is creating flourishing work environments and transforming hospital culture.
